David has 35 years of experience in Architecture and Urban Design, including mixed use commercial, residential, performing arts, academic and hospitality architecture. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Notre Dame, he has an active interest in academics, serving as visiting critic and guest lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania and Catholic University.

Adam’s award-winning work reflects a wide range of skills in the areas of residential and commercial design, hospitality, adaptive re-use, and institutional work. A graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with over 30 years of experience practicing architecture, he has a passion for good design from large-scale new construction to transformative re-purposing of existing buildings.

Maureen holds a Master in Architecture from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor of Arts from Boston College and her architectural interests are diverse and broad. A native of Belgium, she has traveled the world, making her particularly interested in the relationship of the built environment to cultural context and landscape. While at StudioMB, Maureen has enjoyed working on several institutional, cultural and residential projects.

Marquisha, a graduate of the University of Houston, has more than a decade of experience designing and implementing an array of projects ranging from higher education, multi-family residential and complicated special use projects. With an infectious enthusiasm for design at any scale, she enjoys working with clients to deliver thoughtful and highly crafted residential, interiors and adaptive reuse projects.

Nicole, a graduate of the University of Virginia and Davidson College, has a broad range of experience on projects such as athletic facilities, laboratories, residence halls, multi-family housing and single family housing. She enjoys the creative problem solving involved in meeting a client’s needs while working within budget constraints to provide elegant and affordable solutions.

Sasha, a graduate of the University of Maryland, has 10 years of experience in residential and educational architecture with added capability in restaurant and office design. In recent years, she has worked extensively on schools, specializing in design for Montessori programs for both public, private and charter groups.

Dynisha’s analytical, detailed oriented, and strategic approach to office administration comes from her 10 years of experience in the construction and design industry. Her excellent customer service and exemplary interpersonal and organizational skills meld well with StudioMB’s team approach and her proficiency in maintaining and updating knowledge of business concepts, as well as providing executive support to senior leadership strengthens the firm’s capabilities.

Hadley is a graduate of the University of Richmond with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History. A native of Minnesota, she utilizes her artistic aptitude to craft captivating marketing communications and public relations efforts. Her expertise in the areas of art and design plays a vital role in creating vivid and evocative building descriptions. Hadley is especially interested in creating visually compelling narratives and content that capture the essence of each project.

Anna holds a M Arch from Louisiana Tech University, with a deep commitment to architecture’s role as a tool to facilitate community connection through thoughtful exploration of public and private spatial relationships, along with a strong emphasis on sustainable systems, adaptive reuse, and historical analysis. At the core of her design philosophy is a human-centered approach, which she prioritizes as guiding principle in creating both meaningful and socially responsive spaces

Joonas brings a European design sensibility to his work at StudioMB. A native of Finland, he holds degrees in architecture from the University of Virginia and Delft University of Technology. In the Netherlands, he has worked on multi-family residential, including social housing projects. Joonas is particularly interested in translating complex project types into clear, practical, and human-scaled design solutions.

Xinwen, recently received a Masters Degree in architecture from the University of Virginia, which builds her strong artistic foundation. She is driven by the seamless fusion of aesthetics and functionality within designs. With a passion for enhancing urban environments, Xinwen specializes in adaptive reuse—breathing new life into existing structures and repurposing them for a more sustainable future.

A graduate from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Architecture, Marty’s interests span from historic preservation to sustainable design, with a strong emphasis on adaptive reuse and public transit. Marty firmly believes in designing spaces that promote community building, such as educational, cultural, transit, and recreational projects.

A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and proud Texas native, Chandler is passionate about creating and contributing to communities through architecture, particularly through exploration of the unique intersections of public and semi-private programs, adaptive reuse, and sustainable design. She most enjoys designing spaces other people find joy in, such as educational, cultural, and recreational projects.

Liz holds a M Arch degree from University of Texas and brings a passion for community centric design rooted in a love of storytelling and context. Her detail-oriented approach to design started at the UVA and continued with her experiences in interior architecture. She is intrigued by the intersection of historic character and contemporary design in adaptive reuse projects, creating spaces that cultivate connection and foster engagement with nature.

Ruonan holds a Master of Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis. A native of China, she brings a strong foundation of professional experience in the U.S., further enriched by her time at international firms in China and Japan. She brings her experience on complex project types, including laboratories, higher education, and healthcare facilities to the team and this rigorous technical background to civic and educational projects.

Andy is a recent graduate from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree. His interests span from historic preservation to sustainable building practice, particularly within small local communities. Andy strongly believes that good contemporary design is first and foremost rooted in its local context, history, and materiality, and looks forward to creating holistic, humane spaces.

Frances is a graduate of Rensselear Polytechnic Institute with a Masters in Architecture, and has a passion for projects that seek to address community needs through the lens of sustainable design. A native of Venezuela, she holds a Master of Architecture degree from the Polytechnic of Turin, and completed a dual-degree program in partnership between the Universidad Central de Venezuela and the PoliTo.

Isabella received her Undergraduate Degree in Architecture from the University of Virginia. Passionate about the psychology of design, she believes that every detail plays an essential role in shaping the human experience of space. Isabella especially enjoys exploring the intersection between buildings and the natural world, seeking design solutions that contribute positively to their context.

Henry is a registered architect in the District of Columbia and a graduate of the University of Oklahoma. His work spans academic and wellness projects, including both renovation and ground-up construction. He is passionate about design that brings together function, feeling, and human well-being, and approaches each project with a commitment to dependable delivery across diverse scales and types.
