This addition and lobby renovation creates a "Home Away from Home" for Ward 7 schools temporarily located here while their buildings are modernized. The original structure has been modified considerably over the years and was eventually decommissioned as a school, only to recently reopen as a swing site. Our addition draws upon the existing palette of colors and materials while creating a civic presence along tree lined neighborhood streets. New playgrounds and outdoor classroom will complement the design of the new lobby and multipurpose room.
