Take 2 began as two guest cottages to a historic cabin overlooking the Potomac River and the C&O Canal. Although already under construction, we were asked to rethink the design as it was inadequate in size, materials, openness and site orientation. Our glass insertion marries the structures, linking spaces and opening views. The exterior materials, consisting of cedar, stone and copper tie the new to the old and create a holistic whole.
