The former Walter Reed Army Medical Center has opened to the public with plans for preservation and adaptive reuse of buildings and open spaces.  We have been working with the Master Development team to develop The Aspen Arts Park, an arts district offering programming for residents and neighbors. Reuse of the historic firehouse and service station, a dog park, and the conversion of a large paved area into a public plaza with a performance stage is notable for its sensitivity to the campus’ existing and new context.
