When cousins Ryan and Travis Croxton stepped up to the plate of their family business in 2001, the Chesapeake Bay Oyster industry had all but collapsed. As part of a small band of budding aquaculturist they refused to give up on the native oyster. Inside of a decade, the Bay’s oyster would go on to reclaim its place among the great oysters of the world, and Virginia would become a leader in oyster production. By bringing their vision and passion to our restoration of the Historic Lunch Room and Oyster Shed at the Fish Market we like to think we are pretty good match-makers.
